SENIORS INDIVIDUAL RESULTS - TURKEY, APRIL/MAY 2007

The following details are of the great results from our Australian players in the ITF's Seniors World Championships played in Manavgat, Turkey from 29 April to 6 May, 2007.  We extend our congratulations to the Singles winner Andrew Rae and to our Doubles winners Elizabeth Allan/Kerry Ballard, and Bruce Osborne/Wayne Pascoe.  Full details can be seen on website www.92computing.com

Tribute is paid to Andrew Rae as this is his 5th Seniors World Championship Mens Singles title, winning previously in the years 1999, 2001, 2002, 2006 and now 2007.

And an even greater tribute must be given to Liz Allan in winning the 55+ Womens Seniors Doubles title with Kerry Ballard... as this win was Liz's 15th consecutive Seniors World Doubles Championships.  Extraordinary !!!  Liz paired with Carol Campling and won Seniors World Doubles for seven (7) consecutive years in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999.  Then pairing with Kerry Ballard...Liz has won the Seniors World Doubles for another eight (8) consecutive years in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and now yet again in 2007.  Yes, extraordinary !!
