2008 Berri Teams
Berri Report
A record 98 teams made up of over 500 players from across the country and New Zealand competed in the 21st Seniors South Australian Teams Carnival. The players had to contend with rain and windy weather, but still managed to complete all rounds of tennis. Matches were shortened on Saturday to ensure that both rounds could be completed.
Special thanks to John Rowe, Ron Harris, Ellen Traeger, Ken Smith and John Chase for helping Peter Tanner and John Wildy on the tournament desk. Thanks to the new team of Ellen Traeger (secretary) and Raylene Couzens (treasurer) and the rest of the Riverland Committee for their support. Thanks to Ken Smith and Marie Stevens for ranking the teams and Janet Wang for her support.
