The 2018 Niagara Therapy Australian Seniors Teams Carnival and Individual Championships will be hosted by Tennis Seniors Queensland on the fabulous Gold Coast. The championships will be held over two weeks, with the teams event in the first week and the individual championships in the second. The event will be conducted in accordance with Tennis Seniors Australia's defined set of regulations.
It will be a wonderful opportunity to holiday on the Gold Coast and play a little tennis while you are here. From the 56 km of famous surf beaches to the enchanting rainforests of the hinterland National Parks, the Gold Coast contains some Australia’s most beautiful places to visit. But just as important, its array of world class tennis facilities are ideal for the more mature tennis player.
The Organising Committee of Q18 advise that both the Opening Ceremony on 7th January, and the Carnival Dinner Dance on the 12th January, will be held at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre on Nerang Broadbeach Road, Carrara. The GCSLC is now the iconic sporting venue on the Gold Coast, boasting multi-purpose state of the art facilities for sport and functions. It will be used as a major venue during the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Ticket prices for these two events are not yet finalised but it is hoped that this will soon be the case once a number of final sponsors are locked in. The social calendar for Q18, allowing online bookings for these events, should be up on the CAT site in the next few weeks. Sneek peek...
The Organising Committee of Q18 – the Niagara Australian Seniors Teams Carnival and Championships – is very pleased to advise that Brisbane Seniors Tennis Club have taken a Gold Sponsorship. Chairman Reg Trevaskis extended a very appreciative vote of thanks to BSTC President Nick Clarke and his committee and members, who voted overwhelmingly to support Q18. There has always been a close association between BSTC and Tennis Seniors Queensland, and it is hoped that the support might lead to more players in SE Queensland joining BSTC and participating in their local competitions.

Welcome to first update from the Q18 Organising Committee. We'll issue these from time to time to keep you up to date with our plans and developments. The Committee held it's second meeting on the 8th February. Unfortunately Mike Evans has had to stand down from the Committee as he is now spending a lot of time in Melbourne. Consequently we are a little behind with some of the responsibilities in Mike's portfolio (such as Accommodation) but we're in ´catch up´ mode!
