The 2019 Australian Seniors Team Carnival was held in Shepparton from 6-12 January and Individual Championships were played the next week. The Annual TSA Awards for 2018 were announced at the Carnival Dinner/Dance held on the Friday evening   ACT was well represented in these awards with Ros Balodis again awarded the Player of the Year and  Peter Breugelmans the Administrator of the Year.  Congratulations to Ros and Peter. More on the Team Carnival and the Individual Championships...

 

The Australia Seniors Tennis Players Hall of Fame was launched at our Teams Carnival Dinner held on Friday 11 January 2019 in Shepparton.  Several of the initial 12 inductees were present including our first "legend" Carol Campling who had amassed a total of 20 ITF World Titles and 56 Australian Titles. Ros Balodis was honoured at the elite level.  It was a joyous occasion to recognise those among us who have shown the talent and tenacity to win so many ITF World and Australian Seniors Tennis Title    more  

 

The 2020 Australian Seniors Team Carnival and Individual Championships will be hosted by TSWA from 5-17 January at Busselton and Bunbury Tennis Courts. For more information go to

The next Sunday round robin tournament for 2019 is scheduled for 14 April -venue to be advised.  Start accumulating points for the Venezuela Cups.   There will be the usual prizes for the winners and runners-up as well as refreshments afterwards.  The cost will be $10.00. The Seniors World Team Championships will be held on Har-Tru courts over 6 venues for the Seniors World Team Venues in Palm Beach Gardens & Boca Raton, Florida, USA from 21-26 April and followed by the Individual competition taking place over 4 venues in Palm Beach Gardens from 27 April to 4 May.
