Welcome to Tennis Seniors ACT

 

We have lost another former long term member.  Ruth Smalley passed away peacefully in Melbourne on 3 October 2017 aged 88.  Her funeral service will be held on Monday 9 October at the Ringwood Church of Christ, 11-13 Bedford Road, Ringwood.  Our condolences go to Russell, Stuart and Glynis and their families.   more

 

We sadly advise that one of our founding members Ken Willis  passed away peacefully with family at Bupa Stirling on 8 September 2017 aged 94. Our condolences go to Peter and Sue and their families. There was a private cremation.  Friends celebrated Ken's life at Next Generation on Friday 6 October. A tribute will be posted shortly.

 

Congratulations to Ros Balodis on her induction into the Tennis ACT Walk of Fame and receiving the Most Outstanding 35+ Tennis Senior Award and to Peter Breugelmans for his Volunteer Achievement Award.  Peter also received the ANZ Bonus Prize.  Alison Ide was also inducted to the Walk of Fame. The TSACT Christmas Dinner will be held at 7.00 for 7.30pm at the Yowani Country Club, Northbourne Avenue Lyneham on Saturday 2 December.  more

 

The 2018 Australian Seniors Team Carnival and Individual Championships will be held on the Gold Coast from 7-19 January - time to start thinking accommodation and a team - further information click here.  For a copy of the nomination form for the ACT teams, click here. Nominations closed on 29 September.

Congratulations to Ros Balodis, Narelle Raftery and Leonie Ainsworth on being selected in Australian teams for the 2017 ITF Seniors World Team Championships in Florida, USA from 29 October to  3 November.  Ros and Narelle are in the  Maureen Connelly Cup team (55+) with Ros as captain and Leonie is in the Alice Marble Cup team (60+).  We wish them the best of luck.

The TSACT Annual General Meeting was held on 9 August   The President's and the Treasurer's and reports were presented. There were no changes in office bearers or committee members.  For copies of each report, click on the report.
